Associate Branch Director

The YMCA of Northwest Florida is seeking an energetic, dynamic, experienced, mission-driven, innovative Associate Executive Director.

Location: Betty J. Pullum Family YMCA, Navarre, FL

Job Description

The Associate Executive Director will have the majority of their responsibility focused on membership and member services. They will supervise daily operations of the membership team at an individual branch, providing the resources, materials, and data needed to ensure that the branches meet or exceed their membership sales and service goals. This position will serve as the role model for all membership staff of active listening, member onboarding, mission-driven tours, customer service and use of best practices to drive member recruitment, retention and recovery. The positon will also be responsible for supervising and assisting the Program and Wellness Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ supervisory experience. Direct customer service and YMCA experience preferred.
  • Must have or obtain within three (3) years a YMCA Team Leader certification.
  • Promotes the YMCA vision. Serves as an ambassador for the mission, goals, and values of the YMCA within the Navarre community.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to navigate a variety of communication styles.
  • Demonstrated success managing people and leading organizations to strong results.

Essential Functions

  • Works with senior leadership to develop annual membership sales and service goals and budget. Monitors and reports on progress toward these goals, taking appropriate action to ensure that goals are met.
  • Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates and all Welcome Center team member.
  • Conducts ongoing training and models membership best practices for all team members.
  • Tracks data and uses reports to drive membership goals. Reviews and utilizes data and reports provided by the Membership Data Manager to support these efforts.
  • Reviews daily close-outs and ensures accurate bank deposits are made on a timely basis.
  • Assists supervisor with purchased advertising, public relations, promotions, and media relations to promote membership goals.
  • Works with other staff to ensure website, social media and mobile app are updated and accurately reflect current and future promotions and events.
  • Fills frontline membership shifts as needed with assistance of Welcome Center Lead.
  • Assists with branch events, community fairs and Annual Campaign.
  • Reviews and approves payroll for all Welcome Center staff on bi-weekly basis.
  • Assists Executive Director in finding and managing partnerships in pursuit of growing community impact and support.
  • Assists Executive Director with membership and participant issues.
  • Supervises and assists the Program and Wellness Coordinator with day to day issues related to fitness training, fitness classes and sports programs.
  • Participates with the Branch Executive Director and the Programs and Wellness Coordinator in developing programs, setting goals, and measuring performance.

We are seeking Lifeguards with early morning availability to work at the Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA, up to 30 hours per week.  

 

Applicants should have lifeguard certification and CPR and First Aid from a national agency.  Lifeguard classes are scheduled at the Bear Levin Studer Family YMCA in July 2017.
