Little Pumpkins Jamboree
Every October, the YMCA partners with area organizations to provide our Little Pumpkins Jamboree, a fall festival for children with special needs.
We work with the Escambia County School District Exceptional Student Education team to identify those students who will benefit most from this morning of costumes and characters, hands-on sensory activities, games, face painting, crafts, dancing, food and fun. More than a dozen businesses, civic groups, and student organizations come together to decorate, dress in costume, hand out treats, and show the kids a great time.
This event has been a fall celebration for more than 20 years and is enjoyed by children of all ages and the adult groups who come together to create a magical day. We are especially grateful to our friends at Olive Baptist Church, who opens the doors of their campus to host the event.
The Jamboree is invitation-only for students. Would your company, organization, or club like to get involved? We welcome groups who are excited to create a unique experience for these very special kids.
