Program Corner - STEM Training with Teen Camp

Last month we shared this sentiment: "Summer in Teen Camp is about more than just a way to spend the days while school is out. There are new experiences for the campers waiting just around the corner." And true to that ethos, we had another great opportunity for teens in July this year.

Campers were treated to a full computer building workshop. From learning about the different hardware components to actually assembling and testing the finished product, they learned new and exciting STEM skills from the volunteers at Tech Spark, who seek to bring these kinds of experiences to groups in our community. This three-day experience - which might even help the campers consider new career paths - was made possible through volunteer work and special donations from several members and our friends at STOA Architects that funded the purchase of the hardware and supplies.
